Synopsis:
The Martian Manhunter finally locates the lost Idol-Head of Diabolu. Unfortunately the Idol-Head releases another menace, a giant creature named Aroo. While J'onn battles Aroo, Zook takes possession of the Idol-Head. J'onn is felled by a fire blast from the creature, who then takes the Idol-Head away from Zook.

J'onn and Zook pursue Aroo and discover that it is protecting a giant egg containing an even greater menace. J'onn is unable to stop the egg from hatching. It releases Chulko, a creature whose shadow is deadly. J'onn protects the nearby people, until Zook discovers a way to defeat Chulko with water. Though they have defeated the latest menace, J'onn and Zook are unable to find the Idol-Head again.
