Synopsis:
Mark Merlin attends the opening of a new theme park, Prehistoric Land. The park owner has built many mock dinosaurs for display. He has also invited Professor Blore to test his new life-ray which he claims can bring inanimate objects to life.

Mark scoffs at Blore's invention, but when the life-ray is used on a model T-Rex, the dinosaur comes to life. The dinosaur begins attacking people and enters the city.

Mark is suspicious. He scouts the area and locates a gang of smugglers. They have the park owner's brother held hostage and are controlling the dinosaur which is mechanical. Mark takes control of the dinosaur, stopping the rampage. He also exposes the crooks. Blore is disappointed that his life-ray was a failure.
