Synopsis:
Hal Jordan crashes a party being attended by Carol Ferris at a suburban estate. He pretends to deliver a message from Green Lantern that explains why GL was unable to attend. Hal convinces Carol to let him stay.
While Hal is amusing the crowd, three thieves who have disguised themselves as waiters put a plan into motion. One of the thieves, Woozy, dresses as Green Lantern and drops in at the party, claiming the emergency he was dealing with has passed. Then with the help of his two companions, the thief fakes a couple of power ring stunts. He leaves the room momentarily to speak with the other thieves.
While the thief is away Carol plans a scavenger hunt for Green Lantern’s mask. When the disguised thief returns, the party guests chase him down. Carol and another guest manage to tackle him, and remove his mask. With the game over, the guests return to the party.
Having earned the trust of the guests, the phony GL asks them for their valuables so he can power ring them around the Earth. After they set them on the table, one of the other thieves cuts the lights, and the trio escapes with the loot.
Hal Jordan, having been suspicious of the phony, has already slipped away and switched to the real Green Lantern. He apprehends the crooks and carts them away. He returns to the party, where Carol has found a note explaining why Hal has left. Carol tries to remove Green Lantern’s mask but is unable to because the power ring holds it in place.
