When he returns, Sir Oswald claims that only Brian was in the forest, so he must be the Silent Knight. This is the third doom, a threat to his secret identity. As Brian stands accused, two arrows that were used as markers for the first two dooms are shot over the wall into the castle. Everyone believes that the Silent Knight must have returned them, so Brian his secret identity. Brian set the arrows to fire on a delay, which is how the feat was accomplished to make it appear he was in two places at once.
