This issue includes a text feature: "Meet the Legionnaires: Chameleon Boy".
This story continues in Adventure Comics #351.
Synopsis:
Superboy and Supergirl are summoned to the 30th century, where they learn that a Green Kryptonite cloud has surrounded the Earth, and all attempts by the Legion to disperse the cloud have failed. Thus Superboy and Supergirl must be honorably discharged as Legionnaires until such time as the cloud lifts. Before they depart they are brainwashed, by means of Green Kryptonite capsules placed in their brains, to forget the Legion, lest criminals inadvertantly learn their secrets. The two are then sent back to their own eras, after insisting that two lead-armored, masked figures, Sir Prize and Miss Terious, be allowed to replace them.
Meanwhile, a criminal named Prince Evillo gathers together his Devil's Dozen, the Hag, a witch-like woman, the Wild Huntsman, a centaur, Sugyn, a Norseman, and Apollo, who resembles his namesake, and sends each on a separate mission. Apollo leads some of Evillo's men in a robbery at the Interplanetary Bank. With his power to utterly charm animals and people alike, he has almost completed his task when five Legionnaires, Lightning Lad, Saturn Girl, Chameleon Boy, Colossal Boy, and Sir Prize, arrive to stop him. In the ensuing battle Apollo and his gang kidnap Lightning Lad and escape. Back at the Clubhouse, the others relate their defeat.
When the Legion's benefactor, R.J. Brande, sends a call for help, Cosmic Boy, Ferro Lad, Matter-Eater Lad, and Miss Terious rush to investigate. Ultra Boy, meanwhile, determined to learn the identities of the two new members, decides to use his penetra-vision to see through their lead masks.
