Synopsis:
Green Lantern is lionized by Coast City’s society, and has been seen with seven different women around town. Carol Ferris and Hal Jordan discuss a newspaper article written about this. Carol is noticeably jealous at the attention he is getting, and Hal reveals he is friends with Green Lantern. Carol then invites Hal to dinner, if he brings Green Lantern with him.
While hal ponders his dilemma at the Ferris Aircraft hangar, his power battery speaks a message to him. It informs him that he must travel to Venus because there is an emergency there. Hal dons his uniform, charges his ring and flys to Venus.
Once on Venus he encounters a yellow pterodactyl which picks him up and flys away. Green Lantern punches the creature to force it to drop him. He lands and hides in a crevice. He hides there until the creature leaves.
Green Lantern then meets a race of blue skinned primitive humans. He uses the ring to communicate with them, and learns that the flying creatures are hunting the primitives. When the creatures return, Hal creates a colossal hawk to scare them away. They are frightened into a cave, and GL blocks the entrance, trapping them.
After being thanked for his help, Hal heads back to Earth. Upon Hal’s return, he attends the dinner with Carol as Green Lantern. He explains that Hal was unable to make it.
