This issue is labeled:"Millennium Week 1".

This story is continued from Wonder Woman #11 and continues in Wonder Woman #13.

Synopsis:
Wonder Woman meets Diana Trevor, the mother of Steve Trevor. Diana tells Wonder Woman about her connection to Paradise Island. She was a pilot during the 1940s. Shortly after World War II, when her son was 7, she piloted a prototype jet. It was struck by lightning and crashed into the ocean.

Diana washed up on the shore of Paradise Island. She found the Amazons fighting Cottus at Doom's Doorway. Diana used her courage and sidearm to push Cottus back and save the life of Menalippe. She was killed, but Diana's help, Doom's Doorway was sealed. The Amazons kept her gun and fashioned armor and clothing in her image. These garments were given to Wonder Woman. Hippolyte also named her daughter Diana after the fallen visitor.

After telling her story, Diana departs with Hades. Wonder Woman then finds Pan who directs her to the Green Lantern Citadel and tells her about the Manhunter threat. He doesn't tell her that he himself is a Manhunter. Diana then enters a portal back Earth.

Meanwhile, Hippolyte continues her pursuit of her daughter. She finds the remnants of Wonder Woman's battles with the Hydra. Pan has used the bones to create a group of skeleton warriors. Hippolyte defeats them before being besieged by harpies. She falls from the path and discovers Heracles frozen in stone.
