Synopsis:
When publicist Myndi Mayer is found murdered, the investigation is given to detective Eddie Indelicato. A witness claims that Steve London, a recently fired employee was seen entering the building shortly before her death. Evidence places him at the scene, but he claims to have blacked out from heavy drinking and does not remember. While Indelicato arrests London, he continues to investigate other angles including Skeeter LaRue.

Wonder Woman learns of Myndi's death upon her return from Greece. She offers to use her magic lasso to learn the truth, but the police and attorneys involved prevent her from doing so. Instead Wonder Woman turns to the streets to find LaRue. She tracks him to a warehouse and uses her lasso to question him.

LaRue admits to supplying Myndi with cocaine and using her organization to distribute the drugs. When she found out, she threw him out, despite her own growing addictions. LaRue returned to the building and shot Myndi. He then used the drunk London as a patsy.

When gunmen enter the warehouse, Wonder Woman fights them. In the confusion, LaRue makes a run for it and is killed trying to climb an electric fence. When the coroner's report on Myndi is completed, Wonder Woman is surprised to learn, that LaRue did not actually kill Myndi. She was already dead from a drug overdose prior to being shot. Essentially her death was an accidental suicide.
