Comments:
This story is continued from Wonder Woman #33 and continues in Wonder Woman #35.

Synopsis:
Hermes begins attacking the city of Bana-Maghdall in an attempt to retrieve Gaea's girdle from the renegade Amazons. Wonder Woman is able to stop the attack, but Faruka uses the incident to make her claim to power. She steals the magic girdle, kills Nehebka, and uses the girdle to crown Shim'Tar as the new Amazon queen.

Shim'Tar is able to beat the weakened Hermes. She then battles Wonder Woman causing massive destruction within the city. Meanwhile, outside the city Julia Kapetelis and Steve Trevor have met with local authorities. Together they have found the city, which the authorities led be General Masat plan to bomb.
