This story is continued from Wonder Woman #43.

Synopsis:
Wonder Woman allows herself to be taken prisoner to protect Etta and Maxine. When Etta sacrifices herself to give Wonder Woman a chance, the Amazon breaks out of captivity. Elsewhere, the Silver Swan undergoes an experiment at the direction of Henry Armbruster. When her life is in danger, Armbruster pushes ahead anyway. The Swan then learns that he doesn't care about her at all. She uses her powers to overload the machines.

Wonder Woman rescues Etta and Maxine. She then captures Choi and Armbruster. The Silver Swan wants to kill Armbruster, but instead Wonder Woman forces him to tell her the full story. Armbruster was using the Swan all along. He actually found her repulsive. She believed herself responsible for the death of Benjamin Buchman, but she was not. Maxine offers her friendship to the Swan. Armbruster is apprehended, but he will likely not face justice in the judical system.
