Synopsis:
Superboy prevents a dangerous fire in the lab of Professor Tinker. Tinker is an inventor known for building crackpot novelties which don't work. Superboy allows the professor to test a new Titan Tonic formula on him. The formula is supposed to turn him into a giant.

Using an optical illusion and a giant puppet, Superboy convinces the professor and everyone is Smallville that he has grown to giant size. While the professor works on an antidote, Superboy fights crime as a giant, causing lots of collaterral damage in the process.

The professor eventually gives Superboy the antidote. Once he does Superboy hides the puppet and appears restored to normal size. The incident causes the professor to realize that his crackpot ideas are dangerous, so he begins devoting himself to more practical inventions.
