Some time later, Selina witnesses her friend Holly and pimp Stan get into an altercation with a man in disguise. When Stan tries to stab the man, he gets punched. Holly stabs the man in the leg, and is hurt when the man strikes back. Seeing Holly hurt, Selina joins the fight, but she her attack is easily deflected. She is then knocked out. After the encounter, Selina returns to Ted, who teaches her to use a whip.
Several months later, Holly and Selina head to Robinson Park where the police have Batman cornered. Batman escapes uses a swarm of bats as cover. Selina is inspired by the costume.
