Synopsis:
Jimmy Olsen contracts a rare disease after examining rocks brought to Earth from the moon. To save his life Jimmy joins a moon expedition. The visit to the moon cures Jimmy, who then discovers Superman lying in the rubble of a crashed meteorite. Jimmy elects to remain on the moon, while his astronaut partner, takes the injured Man of Steel back to Earth.
Jimmy investigates the meteorite crash and discovers that it is fake. He believes that Superman is an impostor. His suspicions are confirmed when he follows footprints to an alien moon lander. He secretly pilots the alien ship back to Earth.
Jimmy contacts Clark Kent, who has had the knowledge of his Superman identity erased by the aliens. They find the phony Superman who has uncovered a solar converter which he uses to turn Earth's sun red. The red sun gives the impostor super powers but restores Clark's memories. Jimmy uses Kryptonite against the alien, while Superman reverses the solar converter.
The alien invasion is thwarted. Superman then erases the knowledge of his dual identity from Jimmy's mind.
