Synopsis:
Diana Prince and I-Ching stop to help two stranded motorists during a snowstorm. The men turn out to be escaped convicts. When Diana's car is stuck, the men lead her to a roadside inn to wait out the storm. Inside the Inn of the White Horse, Diana meets writer James Arnett and the innkeeper's son Lemuel. Another motorist arrives a short time later who matches the description of an embezzler who absconded with half a million dollars.

One of the convicts kills the little man only to discover that he is not the embezzler. The convict is then killed too. Diana investigates and discovers that the innkeeper and her son are spirits who trap stranded travelers. After the second convict is killed, Diana and Ching set fire to the mysterious inn. They escape with Arnett as the remains of the inn vanish behind them.
