Comments:
This story introduces a new slim look to the previously rotund Alfred.

Synopsis:
Batman and Robin witness mob boss Biff Bannister run down jeweler Henry Corliss in the street. Corliss survives, but later tries to rob his own store. Batman stops him, and when he sees another accident happen to stockbroker John Kling, he follows Kling back to Bannister.

Dr. Goodwin who treated both men has hypnotized them into robbing their own businesses. Batman and Robin break in on the gang, but Batman is knocked out. Goodwin hypnotizes Batman, but he breaks the spell. Still the crooks nearly kill the crimefighters, but the timely arrival of Alfred catches the crooks off guard, allowing them to be defeated.
