Synopsis:
Dick Grayson gets a job delivering telegrams. When he delivers one to an observatory, he recognizes the man receiving it as a criminal. He checks Batman's crime files and learns the man is Mike Optik. Batman finds Dick searching the files and also learns about Dick's new job. Dick won't tell him why he took the job, but together they track down Optik.

The crook is using the observatory's telescope to spy on Gotham City. Using information his gang obtains, Optik is able to commit stunning robberies. Batman and Robin stop him and the gang. Dick then returns to his delivery job where he delivers a singing telegram to Bruce Wayne for his birthday. He explains that he wanted to earn money to buy Bruce a nice gift.
