Comments:
Superman displays the ability to twist his facial features in this story, allowing him to alter his physical appearance. Although he used this ability a few other times, including the fourth story of Superman #18, it is not one of his powers. The use of it here should be considered apocryphal to the Superman canon.
Synopsis:
Superman rescues stunt man Daredevil Dolan from a suicide attempt. Dolan has lost his nerve and doesn’t want to disappoint his son, so Superman impersonates Dolan at the stunt carnival. When crooks attack Dolan’s son, Superman refuses to help, giving Dolan a chance to redeem himself and regain his courage. Dolan rescues his son and rejoins the stunt carnival.
