Synopsis:
When a series of accidents strike the Metropolis Museum, museum director Dr. Carter is asked to resign. He asks for a week to find the missing Dr. Ericsson who has disappeared while on an expedition.
Superman follows the trail of the missing archaeologist to South America where he discovers a lost Mayan tribe. He brings artifacts back to the museum and also exposes a plot by Mr. Van Croft to take over the museum. Dr. Ericsson has been held prisoner inside the museum by Van Croft. When the crook flees, he is accidentally buried and killed under a pile of dinosaur bones.
