Synopsis:
Lois Lane joins the rescue crew of a freighter bringing a group of millionaires back to shore after they were stranded aboard their yacht. Toyman attacks the freighter and steal jade cufflinks belonging to the yacht owner Simon Starrett. Superman tries to stop Toyman, but he is distracted by a bomb that Toyman has planted. While the Man of Steel saves the ship and passengers, Toyman escapes.

Later, Clark and Lois attend a charity bazaar hosted by Mrs. Jorling. Toyman releases mice to scare the women, then steals a jade ring from the hostess. Superman is unable to stop him because he is forced to extinguish a fire.

Toyman strikes again when he tries to stop a train. The crook miscalculates and nearly causes the train to crash. Superman saves the train and stops Toyman from robbing it. He finds a passenger on board with a jade watch charm and deduces that Toyman intended to steal it.

Superman traces the jade items to a jewelry store. The manager explains that the items were formerly the property of Jack James, a crook who recently died in prison. James was a former cellmate of the Toyman. The jade items form a map to unrecovered loot hidden by James. Superman confronts Toyman. He also saves Lois, who has once again put herself in danger in order to land a story. The Man of Steel then wraps up the case by defeating his opponent and returning the stolen loot to the proper owners.
