Synopsis:
The Daily Planet holds a contest to find the average American. Gangster Hammerhead Haines enters his man Normie Norman into the cotents. He then discredits the other finalists, including Clark Kent. Clark avoids their attempt to discredit him, by intervening as Superman. When the final judging takes place, Clark reveals Norman as a crook. Norman pulls a gun, then Clark decks him. Clark is chosen as the average American, because though he tried to avoid trouble, when it happened he acted accordingly.
