Synopsis:
The Prankster develops a formula that causes currency to change into blank paper. To halt the ensuing financial crisis, Superman mines gold and mints new coins to be distributed in place of paper money. The Prankster then begins buying the worthless paper money for a penny each.

Superman learns that the Prankster is buying all the paper currency, so he creates his own blank currency which he sells to the Prankster. When the crook uses a formula that restores it to normal, he discovers that the bills Superman sold him were phony. His criminal investment partners then try to kill him, so the Prankster confesses to Superman and helps restore the real currency to normal.
