Synopsis:
Two archaeologists discover the tomb of the fabled strongman, Atlas. Inside they awaken the mythical hero from a long sleep. Con man William Sharp recruits Atlas and pits him against Superman in a contest of strength. Atlas wins the contest, but Superman deduces that Atlas's feats were faked. Sharp intends to use Atlas's fame for a protection racket.

Superman convinces Atlas that he has been duped. Atlas admits that he is a circus strongman hired by Sharp. Together, Superman and Atlas track down Sharp's gang and bring them to justice. Atlas then publicly admits that Superman bested him and is the world's strongest man.
