At Metropolis University, Professor Grog is interrupted from his work on a time formula when his computing machine malfunctions. While repairman Mike Mooney works on the machine, Superman assists the professor with his calculations. Suddenly, during one of the calculations, Superman and Mooney are transported back in time.
Superman questions a couple of locals and discovers that he and Mooney have traveled to ancient Greece. They soon meet the Oracle at Delphi. Mooney believes the Oracle is running a racket, so he steps in and begins charging visitors for answers to their questions. When Superman learns of Mooney's interference he scolds the repairman, then ensures that the Oracle's answers come to pass. Finally, Professor Grog brings them both home after repairing his calculating machine.
