Synopsis:
Big Ed Conroy is released from jail and decides to go straight. He hires other ex-cons to create a payroll messenger service. When crooks try to hijack their payrolls, Batman helps Ed clear his name by disguising himself as a messenger. Batman exposes Duke Ryall as the man behind the robberies and apprehends his gang. Conroy continues his service with Batman's blessing.
After the case is complete, Dick Grayson uses the facts to write a comic book story for Crescent Comics. His story is accepted and he becomes a published writer.
