Synopsis:
Following his defeat of Draaga, Superman directly challenges Mongul. The warlord teleports to the battlefield and engages the Man of Steel. The fight between the two powerhouses goes back and forth with Mongul prevailing.
Mongul wants to make an example out of Superman, so he imprisons him with Draaga, intending to kill them both slowly. Superman breaks loose and twice saves Draaga's life. He finally succeeds in bringing Mongul down, but once again refuses to kill. Mongul recovers and retaliates by blasting Superman. However, the Cleric, who has observed the battle remotely uses the Eradicator to teleport Superman to his side.
