Synopsis:
Wesley Dodds is surprised by an intruder in his home. Wesley recognizes the burglar as his childhood friend Billy Winnslow. Instead of robbing Wes, Billy explains that he is seeking revenge against a criminal called the Face. During their conversation, the Face arrives disguised as a policeman. The Face kills Billy and wounds Wes.

After Wesley recovers he tracks down the Face as the Sandman. He follows the lead of the policeman's uniform which leads him to a warehouse. The Face is planning to steal Billy's oil interests. The Sandman bursts in and surprises the crook. The Face flees the scene with Sandman in pursuit. During the chase the Face meets his demise when he falls from a railroad trestle.
