Synopsis:
Rex Tyler attends the opera with Regina Bannerman. Ravel, the new conductor, is electrocuted during the performance. A man calling himself the Mask takes credit for the murder. The theatre is cleared by police, but Rex returns as the Hourman. He questions an electrician and learns that Tony Fabbio is involved.

Hourman tracks down Fabbio, but not before the Mask murders him too. He then learns that the Mask plans to go after Regina. The Hourman saves his boss's niece from the villain, who then kills himself rather than be taken alive. The Mask is then revealed as Frenessi, a former conductor who was replaced by Ravel.
