Synopsis:
Slam Bradley is summoned to the home of the late Caleb Whitethorne for the reading of a will. Slam is named the sole heir to Whitethorne's estate providing he survives a night in the house with Whitethorne's family. Several attempts are made to murder Slam and Shorty. Caleb's sister Sadie is killed by an unknown assailant. Slam eventually proves that Caleb's son Ronald killed poisoned his own father, murdered Sadie to silence her, and was attempting to kill Slam. Following his success at catching the killer, Slam donates the inheritance to charity.
