Synopsis:
Absent-minded professor Lathrop Barnes gets lost on the way to an astronomy convention. He wanders into a banker's convention and is mistaken for the inventor of a new safe. Barnes becomes trapped inside the safe which can't be opened.

Crooks then steal the safe from the convention. Starman pursues them. He locates them in a remote field where they intend to blow the safe open. Starman apprehends the crooks, then using his gravity rod he is able to free Barnes without injury.
