Comments:
This is the final Golden Age solo Black Canary story. Two unused Golden Age stories appeared in the second story of DC Special #3 and in the second story of Adventure Comics #399.

Synopsis:
Larry Lance is hired by Ernest Nythe, the nephew of a criminologist to protect his uncle, Professor Lane Nythe. Ernest and the professor were investigating an old murder. Ernest himself turns up dead prompting Larry and Black Canary to investigate. They are captured by a gang of thugs, but manage to escape. They believe the thugs have killed the professor, but when turns up alive, Black Canary realizes he is the killer. Professor Nythe tries to kill her, but Black Canary manages to avoid another death trap, then turns Nythe over to police.
