Synopsis:
Professsor Rigler, a noted astronomer, theorizes that sun spots are responsible for a recent crime wave. Starman visits Rigler, who explains that the sun spots might also affect his gravity rod. Starman later sees a criminal suspect. When he closes in, the gravity rod malfunctions allowing the crook to escape. Starman deduces that the crook is Rigler's assistant Perkins. He faked the sun spot data, so the professor would give him an alibi. Starman captures him and exposes the scheme.
