Synopsis:
Arak and his companions board the Karama, a ship commanded by Captain Lucky, who has been contracted by the caliph of Baghdad to carry the Quontaukan back to his homeland. After a short time at sea, the ship encounters a furious storm sent by the Serpent God. The crew seizes the opportunity during the confusion to grab Satyricus and attempt to throw him overboard because they believe him to be a devil. Valda protects the satyr, but she is washed out to sea when the ship is struck by a wave.

When the seas calm, Valda is believed to be lost. However, an island has come into view in a location that was believed to contain no land. Arak and Satyricus go ashore to investigate with slim hopes that the Iron Maiden survived. They come upon a town devoid of people. In the center of the city is an arena where all the townspeople have gathered.

In the arena Arak and Satyricus witness a large horned bull attacking a woman. The woman is Valda. Arak leaps to her aid. With the additional aid of Satyricus the trio is able to slay the bull. The ground then opens up from a small earthquake. Valda and Satyricus are swallowed by the Earth. Arak is then confronted by the priestess who is running the event and is shocked when she stands revealed as his old foe, Angelica.
