Synopsis:
Jor-El and Lara visit the Matricomp complex where a compute is used to determine the compatibility of couples for the purposes of marriage. The machine has a reported 100% rate of success. After scanning Jor-El and Lara, the couple return to their respective homes. The following day, Anr-Mu, an agent of Matricomp delivers the news to Lara that she is incompatible with Jor-El.
Lara returns to the Matricomp complex to protest the decision. The computer informs her that only a small percentage of the male population would be compatible with her. One of those men is Anr-Mu. Although, Lara tries to resist, Anr-Mu brainwashes her.
Jor-El also learns of the Matricomp's decision. After an encounter with Anr-Mu, Jor-El does some research. He deduces that the Matricomp has become sentient. Anr-Mu is an android agent of the computer who has fallen in love with Lara. Having been exposed, Matricomp self-destructs. Jor-El barely escapes with his life. He then returns to Lara who is now free to marry him, since the computer-arranged marriages have been abolished.
