Synopsis:
Slam's car is nearly stolen by a girl who appears to be an escaped patient from an asylum. Slam suspects that she isn't crazy and investigates. He learns the girl is Gloria Travers, an heiress who is supposed to be dead. Slam sends Shorty undercover as a patient at the sanitarium while he stakes out her house.

Shorty contacts the girl inside the asylum, but the men who took Gloria away see him. Another group of men catch Slam outside the girl's house. Slam has learned that the men led by Dr. Granville have taken the girl, so they can steal her inheritance. Slam stops the men using gas, spoiling their plans. He also rescues Shorty and Gloria from the asylum.
