Synopsis:
Gunner and Sarge and their fellow marines are surprised when the Japanese soldiers on their island proclaim that the war is over. Radio contact with their superiors is being jammed, but the marines do pick up transmissions confirming that the war has ended. The marines are still suspicious, and Gunner points out that the reports do not declare which side has won.

When the Japanese attempt to surrender, the marines fall back deducing that the surrender is actually a ploy to kill them. Their suspicions are confirmed when the Japanese soldiers open fire. Gunner and Sarge attack the enemy from behind and destroy the enemy tanks that would smash the American infantry. After the battle radio transmissions return to normal and confirm that the war is still in progress.
