Synopsis:
Jason Blood and his friends visit a curio shop in Gotham City. Glenda opens a strange artifact and is transformed into a building. Probes are sent out from the building which transform the other people into buildings as well. Jason Blood summons Etrigan who is impervious to the probes, but he is unable to stop them from spreading.
Superman returns to Earth after repairing an orbiting satellite. While passing Gotham, he spots the strange buildings and begins smashing them. Etrigan is able to stop further damage by explaining the situation. He then sends Superman into the past to prevent the artifact's creation.
Superman arrives in 1162 A.D. and teams up with Jason Blood in that era. Together they track down Morgaine Le Fey who is responsible for the artifact. Superman is able to prevent the curse, ensuring that the events in his own time never take place. As a result when Glenda opens the artifact in the curio shop it is empty.
