This is a "Private Lives" story featuring Maggie Sawyer and Dan Turpin.

Synopsis:
When Dan Turpin is injured protecting Maggie Sawyer from the armored villain known as Barrage, he is forced to spend several weeks in the hospital. During that time, Dan begins to think of Maggie as more than a colleague. When he is released from the hospital, he visits Maggie's apartment. He meets her girlfriend Toby, but he does not realize the nature of their relationship until after he asks Maggie to marry him.

Following the incident, Dan tries to quit from the Special Crimes Unit, but Maggie refuses to accept his resignation.
