Superman is divided into two beings in this story, Superman-Red and Superman-Blue.

Synopsis:
Superman is confronted by the people of Kandor for his failures. He vows to solve his unaccomplished tasks or give up being Superman. To do so Superman experiments on himself and succeeds in dividing himself into two separate beings, Superman-Red and Superman-Blue, each with mental capabilities a hundred times greater than before.

The two Superman use their brain power to develop a way to rebuild Krypton using all the Kryptonite in the universe. Then they restore Kandor to regular size to colonize the planet. The Supermen then build a world for the citizens of Atlantis and transport them there.

Next Superman-Red and Superman-Blue create an anti-evil ray which changes all the worlds criminals into upstanding citizens. Lex Luthor develops a serum to cure disease, and Supergirl takes the reformed Phantom Zone criminals to live on New Krypton permanently.

With crime eradicated, Superman-Red and Superman-Blue decide to retire and marry the girls they love. Superman-Blue marries Lana and stays on Earth, while Superman-Red marries Lois, taking her to New Krypton to live. Jimmy Olsen also marries Lucy Lane.
