Synopsis:
After a fight with Rocky over the affections of June, Red storms out of Challengers Mountain. The rest of the team then responds to an alert from Toronto concerning a giant box which has mysteriously appeared in the city. Ace, Rocky, June, and Swamp Thing arrive on the scene with Deadman secretly following. A giant creature emerges from the box which the team eventually defeats.

The Challengers bring a fragment of the box back to Prof for analysis. He determines that it originated from the future, so the team seeks out Rip Hunter for assistance. Along the way to Hunter's old lab, they are attacked by another creature. After destroying it, the group recovers one of Hunter's time spheres. Prof then helps send the others twelve million years into the future in search of answers.
