Synopsis:
Terry Sloane is approached by an art collector named Tucker to carry out an art sale. Terry agrees to take a copy of a painting to his friend Rogers offering to buy the original and give up the copy. Terry then discovers that Rogers's painting is a fake.

Suspecting treachery, Terry creates another copy of the painting and uses a new frame. When he delivers the painting to Tucker, gunmen try to kill him. Having suspected a trick, Terry outwits the gunmen and appears as Mr. Terrific. He learns that Tucker and his men were after the frame, not the painting. He returns to Rogers's house where an expensive necklace is found hidden in the frame. Tucker is revealed as a former servant who stole the necklace and hid it in the painting.
