Synopsis:
Clark and Lois visit the circus to investigate a series of strongarm robberies. The suspect involved resembles the circus strongman, Herculo. They interview the circus owner Mr. Jenkins, who explains that robberies have occurred in other cities when the circus was in town as well. Herculo claims no knowledge of the robberies as he tries to impress Lois by beating up Clark.

Clark decides to place a report in the paper about Herculo as a challenge to Superman. He also marks some money which is quickly stolen from him by the bandit. Later, Superman shows up at the circus. He and Herculo duel as a show for the audience. Jenkins is impressed and goes to tell the newspapers. He discovers that a clown is the robber, because the money Clark marked stained his hands red. The clown attacks Jenkins, who is rescued by Superman, while Herculo knocks out the clown.
