Synopsis:
Wash is upset when a new motor goes missing. Hop and Ikky take him on a test flight of a new plane to clear his mind. The new plane has tank treads and pontoons to operate on land or sea.

They land the plane in the swamp and meet two moonshiners. The moonshiners think the boys are foreigners like another group that landed earlier. The boys explain that they were just testing the plane.

They learn that the missing motor is behind the nearby dam having been stolen by a fired worker. The worker returns and blows up the dam. Hop, Wash, and Ikky rescue the family of the moonshiner and then retrieve the motor.
