This is a Windfall solo story.

Synopsis:
Having left the Masters of Disaster, Windfall takes refuge in a small Markovian village. She is soon befriended by Nikolas Stofka, a villager who lost his father and brother during Baron Bedlam's attempt to take over the country. Windfall blames herself for Nikolas's loss, so she attempts to leave. However, she is knocked out by several other villagers.

When Windfall regains consciousness, she finds herself about to be burned at the stake. She uses her powers to prevent the fire from being lit, so the villagers leave her to die at the hands of a bear. Though he still has mixed feelings about her, Nikolas comes to Windfall's aid and helps her escape.
