Several New York cops are upset that official charges against Chase are being delayed. They sneak into the prison to kill him themselves, as they blame Vigilante for the death of their partner Wally Jackson. While they are infiltrating the prison, Black Thorn has also managed to get inside disguised as a guard. She runs into one of the cops and a fight ensues. Agents Kramer and Scott, sent by Vostok, stop the fight and break out Chase. When the real guards arrive only the unconscious cops remain.
