Night People:Part Three
This story is continued from Detective Comics #588.
Synopsis:
Batman escorts Webley back to the home of Kadaver who is in the process of terrorizing the man who paid him to kill Dalton Walls. When Batman arrives Kadaver tries to fight him, but he ends up hanging over a pit of limestone. Then the Corrosive Man arrives. He blames Kadaver for spending years in prison because he believes that Kadaver gave the police the evidence used to capture and convict him.
Batman fights the Corrosive Man, but is unable to prevent him from touching Kadaver. Mitchel's touch burns Kadaver's arm and face. Batman then knocks the Corrosive Man into the pit of limestone which neutralizes his deadly touch. It is not known whether Mitchel is still alive.
On the way home, Batman passes a car accident involving a disc jockey and Harlan Woolf, the smuggler who escaped Batman earlier in the evening.
