Synopsis:
Archaeologist Adam Strange discovers the legendary Inca city Caramanga in the Andes. He is spotted by the Incas and chased into the jungle. Adam is forced to leap from a cliff to escape which takes him into the path of an odd ray of light. The light beam transports Adam across light years of space to the planet Rann.
Adam arrives on Rann and soon meets Alanna, the daughter of a great scientist named Sardath. After establishing a means of communication, Adam learns that Rann was once technologically superior, but much of their knowledge was lost in a nuclear war.
Rann is then threatened by an alien race known as the Eternals. The aliens seek a rare element called Vitatron. Adam leads the aliens to the city of Samakand which only materializes once every 25 years. Adam then leaves them in the city which disappears onto another plane of existance. After defeating the aliens the radiation from the Zeta-Beam wears off, and he returns to Earth.
Adam knows when the next Zeta-Beam will strike Earth. He waits for it and is again teleported. This time he lands on Anthorann, a neighboring planet to Rann. He is reunited with Alanna, then defeats another threat, the Morleens. Adam becomes the hero of Rann and falls in love with Alanna. However, when the Zeta radiation wears off he is again returned to Earth where he must wait for the next beam.
