Synopsis:
Morpheus confronts Doctor Destiny and demands that he repair the ruby which contains much of the Sandman's power. When Destiny refuses, Morpheus prepares for battle in the dreamworld. With so much of his own power tied up in the ruby, Morpheus fights a losing battle with Destiny while the waking world continues to go mad. Although he has the upper hand Doctor Destiny tries to absorb the rest of the Sandman's power. The additional power overloads the ruby causing it to be destroyed. With the ruby gone, the Sandman is able to reclaim his full power. He shows compassion for Dee who was driven mad by the ruby's power. He takes him back to Arkham Asylum to rest.
