This story is continued from Mister Miracle #3. and continues in Mister Miracle #5.

Synopsis:
Scott Free and Barda host a dinner party with Highfather, the Forever People, and their neighbors the Ferbels as guests. Once the Ferbels depart, Scott confronts Highfather about his unexpected arrival. He then storms out of the house.

While Scott is out, he is abducted by Fyre and the Dark who have taken over the bodies of two neighborhood boys. At the same time, Beautiful Dreamer goes into labor. Mark, Vykin, and Serifan go after Scott, but they are also captured. The possessed boys then deliver a message demanding that the Highfather meet with Fyre. He is busy attending to Dreamer. Barda insists on going after her husband even if she must go alone.
