Synopsis:
Jonah Hex is hired by a spiteful old woman named Judge Hatchet to apprehend Dynamite Devlin and his gang of bank robbers. Hex finishes the job and is paid for his work. As he is leaving town, Jonah witnesses Hatchet's sons burning a farm and hanging the owner. He rescues a young girl from the fire.

Jonah returns the girl to town where he learns that Hatchet is profiting from the locals and killing those that don't comply. The son of the farmer goes after her, and Hex follows. When he arrives, the boy has killed one of Hatchet's sons, but he is about to be hanged. Hex kills the other two brothers, then pushes Hatchet's wheelchair off a cliff.
