Synopsis:
A dual peril strikes the Justice League members – momentary loss of their powers on individual cases, and the appearance of a criminal possessing all their combined abilities. The criminal is Amazo, an android created by Professor Ivo, who intends to collect the oldest living animals on Earth, and use them in the creation of an immortality elixir. Green Lantern and Aquaman are captured during Amazo’s theft of the world’s oldest reptile, a tortoise; Wonder Woman is captured trying to stop the abduction of the oldest human; J’onn J’onzz and Flash are captured while protecting the oldest bird.

Ignoring the invulnerable Superman and the non-super-powered Batman for the moment, the professor drains the powers of the captive heroes, and transfers them completely to Amazo. Green Lantern, however, manages to escape being affected by Amazo’s power ring, and captures both the professor and the android.

The powers of the other members are restored, and the professor’s victims are returned to their homes. Ivo is given a 500-year prison sentence, which he will have to serve in full, since he has already drunk the immortality elixir.
